Fry the cabbage leaf in a little oil, without letting it toast. Reserve
Remove the core from the cabbage and shred it. Reserve
Place the beef broth in a pot and let it come to a boil
Dissolve the cornmeal in cold water and slowly add it to the pot

When the broth is thick, add the chopped onion and shredded cabbage
Let it cook for 10 minutes
When everything is ready, crack the egg into the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon
Season with salt, place it in a dish and serve with the cabbage leaf on top.
