Walnut Balls (Sauce)

Walnut Balls (Sauce)

  • 1

Melt 1 cup of butter until it's creamy and clear. Slowly add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, mixing with the butter. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Sift together: 2 1/4 cups. Sift again before combining with the mixture. Chop walnuts (3/4 cup), blending them in a liquidizer until they're well pulverized. Combine the walnuts with the mixture, allowing it to thicken. Refrigerate the mixture for a few hours, then take it out and shape into balls the size of a walnut. Fry in hot oven, about 15 minutes, without letting them brown too much. Roll the warm balls in powdered sugar.
