1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine
3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
1 cup mascarpone cheese, finely crumbled
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine

2/3 cup milk

Cream the butter or margarine until it becomes soft and pliable
Add the flour and mix well
Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix well
Combine the dry ingredients and add them to the mixture in alternating batches with the milk, mixing well after each addition
Pour into a 22cm x 5cm rectangular baking dish
Mix together the mascarpone cheese, unsalted butter, and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the cake
Bake in a moderate oven for 25-30 minutes or until done
Let cool slightly and cut into squares
Serve warm.
