1 1/4 cups of butter
1 3/4 cups of sugar
5 eggs
3 2/3 cups of all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of milk
2/3 cup of dark chocolate chips, sifted
2/3 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
1 1/4 cups of butter
1 3/4 cups of sugar

Beat the butter with sugar and eggs until a creamy white mixture forms
Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, sifted together, alternating with milk
Beat well after each addition
Place 1/3 of the dough into a 31cm long ring mold, greased with butter
Spread half of the melted chocolate mixed with nuts on top
Repeat the layers, finishing with the dough
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) preheated for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes and unmold
Serve warm or at room temperature
