4 ripe bananas

Beat the butter with the sugar and eggs
Add the lemon juice and zest
Fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder
Finally, add the chopped cherries
Pour half of the batter into a greased English-style loaf pan (26cm) and arrange 2 bananas side by side to form 2 rows
Fill with the remaining batter and bake in a moderate oven preheated to 180°C for about 60 minutes
Remove from the pan and let cool
Dust with confectioners' sugar
Cut into 13 slices.
