Place the onions without peeling in boiling water sufficient to cover them
Let it rest for 2 minutes
Drain and cover with cold water
Peel
Dissolve the salt in 1 liter of water
Add the onions and additional water as needed to cover them
Let it rest overnight
Drain, rinse in cold water and drain again
Boil enough water to cover the onions
Add the onions and let it boil for 1 minute
Drain and arrange in jars with the peppers
Bring the sugar and vinegar to a boil and let it simmer
Pour over the onions until it reaches 1 cm from the top of the jar
Close tightly
Let it rest for about 2 days before serving.
