Prepare a dough with all-purpose flour, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and white wine
Beat the egg whites until frothy and fold into the dough, mixing carefully
The dough should have the consistency of pancake batter
Submerge the flower-of-southern-cross in this dough and place it on a strainer to allow excess dough to drain
Heat olive oil in a skillet and fry the flower-of-southern-cross until golden
