Sift together the flour and dark chocolate pieces
Add the butter, beating until combined
Beat in the granulated sugar and egg yolk, then beat until smooth
Press the mixture into a small, well-greased baking dish
Chop the nuts
Beat the egg whites for 1 minute
Gradually add the confectioner's sugar, beating until combined
Spread over the dough in the baking dish
Sprinkle with chopped nuts
Bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes, or until the surface is set and lightly browned
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then cut into squares or diamonds.
