2 eggs
1/2 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder or 45 g of semi-sweet chocolate
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
1 pinch of salt
2 cups of whole milk
1 tablespoon of Amaretto liqueur or 1 teaspoon of almond extract
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 tablespoons of sliced and toasted almonds

In a small bowl, beat the egg until well combined
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar with the cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt
Mix in the milk while beating
Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until smooth
Stir constantly
Remove from heat
Gradually add the egg mixture while stirring
Return to heat and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until slightly thickened
Remove from heat and add the liqueur and extract
Divide into serving dishes
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled completely
Garnish with toasted almonds divided
Serve immediately.
