For the vanilla cream
2 cups whole milk
4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the meringue pudding
4 large egg whites: (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup sugar
Hot water
For the caramel sauce
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup hot water
8 washed strawberries to garnish (you can also use other fruits of your preference)

Heat the milk until small bubbles form around the edge of the pan
Then, beat the egg yolks with 1/3 cup sugar in a small bowl
Next, slowly add the hot milk to the egg yolks, beating well
Now, move the mixture to a heatproof bowl and place it over simmering water
Bake for 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature
When cooled, stir in vanilla extract
Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for several hours
While the pudding is chilling, prepare the strawberries by washing and hulling them
To assemble the dessert, place a spoonful of vanilla cream on a plate, top with the meringue pudding, and garnish with sliced strawberries
