1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh heavy cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
500 ml vanilla or cream ice cream

In a food processor, grind the toffee bars into a coarse crumble
Set aside
In a medium saucepan, melt the granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until completely dissolved and caramelized
Gradually add the heavy cream, whisking until smooth
Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional minute
Add the melted butter and set aside
Distribute the ice cream among serving dishes and spoon the caramel sauce over the top
Sprinkle with the toffee crumble and serve.
