Ripe strawberries, hulled and cut into skewers

Beat the eggs until they're quite thick, together with the currant
Heat it gently in a small saucepan, stirring constantly, until it thickens well
Let it cool and add the whipped egg whites, beaten with sugar to the right consistency, stirring carefully
Refrigerate until quite cold
At serving time, place a ball of ice cream in 6 chilled glasses and drizzle with zabaglione
Pierce the ice cream with the strawberry skewers, and serve immediately
