6 ripe and firm bananas

Cut each banana into five pieces and reserve
In a bowl, beat the egg whites with water
Add cornstarch, flour, and yeast, and mix well
In a large skillet, heat enough oil over high heat
Dip the banana pieces in the mixture and fry until golden brown
Drain on paper towels and reserve
Caramel
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves
Stop stirring and let it cook until the caramel reaches the hard-ball stage
Fill a bowl with water and ice
Dip the bananas in the caramel and immediately submerge them in the icy water
Serve immediately.
