4 ripe bananas with peel, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 4 tablespoons of orange liqueur (Cointreau), 4 scoops of pistachio ice cream, Fresh mint leaves for garnish
4 ripe bananas with peel, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 4 tablespoons of orange liqueur (Cointreau), 4 scoops of pistachio ice cream, Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Wash the bananas well and cut off both ends

Place the bananas in a baking dish lightly greased with butter, peel side up

Put the dish in a preheated oven at 200°C and bake for 15 minutes or until the bananas are soft and almost falling apart

Transfer the bananas to individual plates and remove some of the peel

Spoon half a tablespoon of sugar and one tablespoon of Cointreau over each still warm banana (or substitute with dry white wine if preferred)

Serve warm, topped with pistachio ice cream or your preferred flavor.
