2 cups of black plums, chopped

Preheat the oven to a moderate temperature (170°C)
Place black plums, water, and lime juice in a saucepan
Cover, bring to low heat, and cook until the plums are tender, stirring occasionally
Add walnuts or hazelnuts, let it cool, and set aside
Mix butter or margarine with sugar in a bowl
Add remaining ingredients, except for 2 tablespoons of butter, and mix until the batter is crumbly
Distribute two-thirds of the mixture evenly into an 18x27 cm lightly greased baking dish and press down
Cover with black plum mixture, smoothing out the surface
Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine to the remaining mixture and sprinkle over the filling, pressing down
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
Let it cool and cut into small squares
