6 medium-sized potatoes (1 kg)
1 medium onion, chopped
6 tablespoons of butter
to taste

Peel and grate the potatoes, coarsely
In a skillet, melt the butter and fry the onion until it's tender but not golden
Add the potatoes
Mix well
Season to taste
Cover the skillet and let cook over low heat until the potatoes are tender
Remove the cover and continue cooking until the bottom of the potatoes is nicely browned and a crust has formed
Invert onto a platter and cut into wedges
