1/2 cup unsalted butter or margarine (120g)
1 cup brown sugar (180g)
1 tablespoon grated orange zest (5g)
1 well-beaten egg (65g)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (540g)
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice (60g)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast (10g)
1/2 cup unsalted butter or margarine (120g)

1 well-beaten egg (65g)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (540g)
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice (60g)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast (10g)
Cream the butter with the brown sugar and beat well
Add the grated orange zest and the egg and mix again
Next, add the orange juice and mix well
Finally, combine the flour with the yeast and knead by hand
Roll out on a floured surface and cut into desired shape
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) until lightly browned
Dust with glaze (see recipe)
