Beat the sugar with the butter or margarine until it is smooth and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, until a homogeneous mass forms
Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt and add to the previous mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well
Let it fall into the hot oil in spoonfuls and fry until the fritters are golden brown on all sides
Remove them, let them drain on paper towels, and dust them with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon
Make about 150 fritters.
