Prepare the filling: In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the mixture thickens and starts to appear at the bottom of the pan

The next day, remove the weights, the wooden lid, and the aluminum foil
With care, remove the wood square
With the help of the aluminum foil under the cake, place it on top of a square block of Styrofoam (35 cm x 8 cm high)
Hold the cake (with Styrofoam) and transfer it to a wooden cutting board (42 x 62 cm)
Prepare the topping: In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until fluffy
In a saucepan, combine sugar and water and bring to a boil, then remove from heat
Let it cool slightly
Test by dropping a small amount of the syrup between your thumb and index finger
If it forms a thread that does not break when stretched, it is ready
Remove from heat
Join the syrup with the egg whites, beating constantly until stiff peaks form
Cover the cake, the base of the Styrofoam, and the inside of the lid with a thin layer of topping using a spatula
Prepare another batch of topping and spread it over the cake using a large, long spatula
Dress with colorful confetti and chocolate sticks
Insert the hat of the matchbox and the Styrofoam lid with a skewer
