Mix and sift the flour, yeast, and salt
Add the shortening, egg, sugar, and milk; beat well until the mixture is homogeneous
Soak the prunes or damsons in their liquid until they reach the boiling point
Pour into a 1-liter mold Pour the dough on top evenly
Bake in a moderate oven for 45 minutes
Serve by unmolding onto a platter, so that the fruit stays on top
Let it rest for six hours.
