1 1/2 cups unsalted butter

1 tablet of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (170g)

In a stand mixer, beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then beat in the vanilla extract
Gradually add the flour mixed with the yeast and panned, alternating with the milk, beating until just combined
Beat carefully until a smooth batter forms
Pour into a 25cm round cake pan, greased with butter and lined with parchment paper, also greased
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) preheated to 35 minutes or until, when tested with a toothpick, it comes out clean
Let cool and remove from the pan
Prepare the filling
In a stand mixer, beat all the ingredients together for about 3 minutes or until smooth
Cut the cake into three layers of equal thickness
In a serving dish, layer one of the cake layers, half the filling, another cake layer, the remaining filling, and finally the third cake layer
Prepare the topping
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the sugar until caramelized, stirring occasionally
Add the condensed milk and stir until dissolved
Remove from the heat, add the chocolate and heavy cream, and spread over the cake
Decorate with chocolate shavings and serve.
