80g of melted bittersweet chocolate
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda

1/2 cup of butter or margarine
1 cup of milk

Pulse the nuts or hazelnuts
Melt the chocolate and set aside
Sift together the flour and baking soda, then place in a bowl
Add the grated ginger and melted butter or margarine
Mix well
Separately, mix the milk with honey and vanilla extract
Add half of this mixture to the flour mixture
Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed
Add the cooled chocolate, remaining milk mixture, and eggs
Beat for an additional 2 minutes
Add the chopped nuts or hazelnuts and mix well
Pour the batter into a greased 32.5cm x 22.5cm pan and bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean
Let cool and then remove from pan.
