Beat the butter and sugar well
Add the eggs and egg yolks
Mix well
Gradually add the milk mixed with vanilla extract, alternating with the flour mixed with baking powder
Mix well
Pour the batter into a 23 cm (9 inch) round cake pan, greased and floured
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Let cool slightly before serving, cut into 16 slices.
