In a saucepan, combine the milk, water, butter, sugar, salt, and lime zest
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat
Add the flour gradually, stirring vigorously with a wooden spoon until the mixture forms a smooth dough
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition
Fry in hot oil using a spatula to shape the fritters
When golden brown, drain on paper towels
Filling
Melt the chocolate and mix with heavy cream
Chill until firm
Beat in an electric mixer until smooth
Fill the fritters generously with the chocolate mixture
Dust with confectioner's sugar.
