Remove the ends and cut the lime into thin slices
Place the lime and sugar in a small cup and, using a wooden muddler, press only the center of the fruit, without cracking the skin
This prevents the release of too much citrus acid, contained in the peel's juice, which can leave the drink bitter
Add the rum, stir well, and serve with plenty of ice.
