In a large pot, place the beef, water, and salt
Bring to a boil at high heat
Remove any foam that forms on the surface of the water
Add the salt, onion, carrot, and tomato, cover, and cook until the meat is tender
Remove from heat and strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve
Separate the broth into suitable containers and store in the freezer for up to 3 months
The beef can be shredded and used to make a hash or Beef Salad (see recipe in Meat)
