Melt the butter in a Dutch oven and add the alcatra cut into cubes
Fry until browned well
Add the garlic and onion and fry for five minutes
Add the flour and mix well
Add the red wine, water, and coffee
Simmer on low heat with the lid on for 50 minutes or until the meat is tender
Season with salt and black pepper
