Boil the manioc and grind it in a meat grinder
Make a syrup with the water and yam, until it reaches thread stage
Add the manioc to the syrup and stir well to dissolve all the lumps
Dissolve the egg yolks in the milk and add them to the manioc mixture, stirring constantly
Add the vanilla and let it simmer for a little longer
Serve cold, preferably in a glass or crystal vase, or in individual champagne or dessert cups.
