Make a syrup with the sugar and water (this takes 20 minutes on medium heat, stirring frequently)
Add the oranges and coconut and continue cooking until the mixture reaches a soft ball consistency (testing by placing a small amount of the mixture in cold water forms a soft ball)
Remove from heat and let it rest for the next day
Let it set at room temperature in shallow trays lined with parchment paper and let it dry under the sun for 2 days
Serve in paper cups
Best served within 60 to 70.
