1/2 cup of brandy
1/4 cup of rum

Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with the eggs
Heat it in a bain-marie
Add the milk slowly, stirring well
Cook until it thickens slightly
Stir constantly
Chill it in the refrigerator until cold
Beat the egg whites until snowy
Add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and beat well
Combine with the egg mixture, then add the whipped cream
Add the brandy and rum
Chill for several hours
Pour into a punch bowl
Dust with nutmeg
Serve in 30 portions.
