Heat the butter or margarine in a skillet over medium heat
Add the beef, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides
Season with salt and white pepper
Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside
Add the onion to the skillet and cook until caramelized
Add the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened slightly
Return the reserved beef to the skillet and stir quickly to combine
Serve hot.
