Place the cans of sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan with water, cover and cook for 1 hour
Let it cool and open the cans (don't try to do this before the hour as the content may splatter)
Beat the egg whites until snowy white
Add the sugar and beat a little more
In a saucepan, put the cooked sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, and butter
Cook over low heat, stirring for 10 minutes
After cooling, add the beaten egg whites, heavy cream, and walnuts
Refrigerate until serving time
