4 large artichokes
salt to taste
1 tablespoon cornstarch
lemon juice from 1/2 lemon

Cut off the stems of the artichokes
Trim the pointy ends of the leaves with scissors
Place plenty of water in a pot, add salt to taste and whisked cornstarch dissolved in a little water
Add the lemon juice
Add the artichokes and cook for 30-40 minutes depending on their size
Serve with the suggested dips
