9 cups of confectioner's sugar sifted
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar syrup
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of orange, or raspberry, or passionfruit extract

Combine the ingredients in a bain-marie
Allow it to warm slightly
Don't let it get too hot, or the glaze will lose its sheen
If desired, you can tint it with coloring to achieve very pale colors
Remove from heat, but keep it over the warm water
If the glaze becomes too thick, add a few drops of warm water.
