Beat the eggs with sugar for about 20 minutes, until it doubles in volume
Sift the flour over top, add the vanilla extract, and mix delicately
Pour into a 35 cm diameter baking dish, greased and floured
Place in a hot oven (400°F), preheated, and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown (test with a toothpick)
Remove from mold after it has cooled slightly.
