Preheat the oven to medium temperature
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and yeast, then add the salt
In another bowl, combine the butter, egg, vanilla extract, sugar, and milk until smooth
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix quickly
Divide the batter among the liners and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Remove from oven and let cool
Heat the gelatin in a small saucepan over low heat until melted
Transfer to a piping bag and reserve
Unmold the muffins and insert the piping bag into each one, filling with the gelatin
Dust with grated orange zest and serve immediately
