Dissolve the yeast in the milk
Add the eggs and butter
Mix well
Combine thoroughly
Mix in the dry ingredients, sifted together, slowly adding them to the mixture
Pour the batter into a greased 25x7.5 cm (10-inch) loaf pan
Let it rise for 30 minutes
Cut a slit down the center of the cake, parallel to its length, and bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 45 minutes
