Warm the milk
Dissolve the yeast in the milk, then add the sugar and salt
Mix well to dissolve
Place the flour in a bowl and add the milk mixture
Add the butter or margarine to small pieces
Knead well until the dough comes together and falls off the sides of the bowl
Let it rest for 1 hour
Each person takes a piece of dough and shapes it into a long roll
This roll will be wrapped around a stick, or skewer, squeezing the dough tightly around the stick
Hold over an open flame
When golden brown, serve immediately and shape the next roll on the stick
Note: The rolls should be thin so that the bread doesn't remain raw inside
Makes 6 portions.
