Mix all the dough ingredients together
Gradually add about 3/4 cup of warm water, kneading until the mixture becomes homogeneous and doesn't stick to your hands
Let it rest for at least 1 hour or overnight, wrapped in plastic film
Make a ball with 1 1/2 tablespoons of the dough
Dust with whole wheat flour and shape into a circle 15 cm in diameter
Heat a low-sided frying pan well
Place a round of dough and cook over low heat, both sides, until bubbles form
Take the dough with a spatula and place it directly on the flame of the stove, always rotating, until toasted
Next, quickly drop the pao onto the flame, turning once, until toasted all over
Repeat this process with the rest of the dough and brush the ready paoos with melted butter
