Peel the pears, cut them in half, and remove the seeds
Fill with whipped cream and drizzle with quince preserves
Arrange the pears in a greased refrigerator dish with the filling facing down
Bake at low heat for 20 minutes
Beat the egg whites until fluffy and mix with granulated sugar
Continue beating until stiff peaks form, then spread over the pears
Return to the oven for another 10 minutes
Serve warm.
