1 kg of dried beef
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 sliced onions
4 tomato slices
1 small bunch of parsley
black pepper to taste
a pinch of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of sour cream
0.5 kg of pineapple chunks (abobora)
0.5 kg of okra cut into halves
For the sauce
1 crushed red bell pepper
1 sliced onion
1 tomato slice
1 pimiento slice
some sprigs of fresh thyme, blended
2 tablespoons of vinegar
2 tablespoons of water
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Cut the beef into thin strips with a sharp knife and wrap them around each other
After it's all cut up, wash it thoroughly to remove excess salt
Drain the water, wash again, this time with warm water
Drain well
Heat some butter in a pan, add 1 onion and cook until golden brown, then add the garlic and cook until golden as well
Add the beef and cook until it's nicely browned
Add half of the tomatoes, half of the pimiento, black pepper, and parsley
Simmer for a bit longer, add some water to thin it out, reduce heat and let it simmer slowly
When the beef is tender, add the pineapple chunks and okra halves
Cover the pan and let it cook until everything is tender
Add the remaining seasonings and let it cook for another 15 minutes
This dish should be almost sauce-less
Serve with white rice and the sauce made by blending all ingredients well
