12 cups of puffed corn
2 cups of small gumballs, cut into pieces
1 cup of black cherries, pit-free and cut into pieces
1 cup of Karo
1/2 cup of honey
1 1/2 teaspoons of vinegar
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

Mix the puffed corn, gumballs, and cherries in a large bowl
Melt the Karo, honey, vinegar, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until it reaches a firm, rubbery consistency
Add the butter or margarine and vanilla, stirring until the butter is melted
Pour the mixture over the puffed corn mixture, mixing well with a wooden spoon to coat all ingredients evenly
Mold into balls about 5 cm in diameter
Form into 6 portions.
