1 kg of strawberries

4 bottles of white wine
2 bottles of champagne

Mix the sugar with water
Bring to a boil and let cook for about 4 minutes
Let it cool down
Wash the strawberries and place them in a bowl
Cover with the sugar syrup and let it rest for 1 hour
Just before serving, combine the chilled white wine and champagne
You can also make this punch with peaches, by peeling and cutting them into pieces
If you prefer a lighter punch, substitute two of the bottles of wine with ice-cold mineral water
This punch serves 8 people.
