Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) hot
Sift together all the dry ingredients
Set aside
Mix the melted butter with the milk and egg
Beat in the dry ingredients
Mix lightly and place 2 tablespoons of the batter into muffin tin cups, 7.5 cm in diameter
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
