Combine grape juice, sugar, and lemon juice
Dissolve cornstarch in a little water
Add to hot grape juice
Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened
Pour into a shallow glass dish that can be served chilled
Refrigerate until firm
For the sauce, mix sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla; beat well
Add warm milk and cook in a water bath for 20 minutes
Add vanilla; refrigerate
Serve the sauce separately.
