100g bittersweet chocolate
125g unsalted butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Mix the flour with the yeast
Melt the chocolate with the butter or margarine
Beat the eggs
Add the sugar; continue beating, adding the chocolate mixture
Add the flour with the yeast and pecans
Add the vanilla extract and mix well
Pour into a 20cm square baking pan greased
Bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 minutes
Cool, then cut into squares
If desired, serve with whipped cream
