Let it simmer for 30 minutes over low heat (preferably in a stainless steel or enameled pot)
Serve warm, in small cups
NOTES: This is a simple, delicious, and very Brazilian drink that's part of the ritual at June festivals
This recipe is also flexible, which means you can adjust the amount of water and sugar to your liking, depending on how the 'partygoers' like it
You can also vary the seasonings: just add nutmeg, and use fresh ginger in small pieces.
