1 1.5-2 kg chicken, cut into pieces
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup diced carrot
1 cup peeled and cubed potatoes
1 cup peeled and cubed green beans
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup fresh or canned peas
1/2 cup clear raisins (optional)

In a large pan, melt the butter or margarine
Add the chicken pieces and fry until lightly browned
Remove the chicken and add the onion, carrot, potatoes, and green beans
Fry, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and lightly browned
Sprinkle with flour and continue to fry for another 2 minutes
Season with salt, black pepper, and chicken broth
Stir until the mixture starts to simmer
Return the chicken pieces to the pan, cover, and cook over low heat for 15 minutes
Add the peas and clear raisins
Cover and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is tender
Serve hot, reheating if necessary before serving.
