Beat eggs with water and add salt and pepper to taste
Heat gently, not too much
Spread over the ham
Cover with grated apple mixed with melted butter, milk, and nutmeg
Roll up the two pieces and secure with a strong string, throughout its length
Place in a baking dish and brush with plenty of butter
Sprinkle with salt and black pepper
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for 2 hours and 30 minutes or until the meat is tender
While baking, add water as needed to prevent the butter from burning
Remove from the oven
Beat the remaining sauce that remained in the baking dish in a blender
Cut the rolls into slices
Serve with the sauce over the slices
To freeze, remove from the oven, separate the sauce, beat in a blender and place in a small bowl
Let the rolls and sauce cool completely
Wrap each in aluminum foil separately and place in a plastic bag
Cover the bowl of sauce with aluminum foil
Roll up and put in the freezer
Can be stored for 7 days in a refrigerator-freezer duplex and 30 days in a freezer
To thaw, remove from the freezer or refrigerator, leave overnight, and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour before serving

Warm the sauce separately
