3 herrings
200g of cooked ham
3 pickled cucumbers
1 cup of boiled and grated beets
1 cup of finely chopped fresh parsley
1 cup of boiled and diced sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts or cashews
2 tablespoons of chopped green onion
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 cup of sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
a few drops of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of capers

Soak the herring fillets in cold water for a few hours
Change the water 2-3 times
Remove the skin and bones from the fish and chop it finely
Cube the cooked ham into small pieces
Add the remaining ingredients and season to taste with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper
Serve 4 portions.
